Learn to say no. If you are tired learn to walk away and take a break. This can be as little as 15 minutes, or as much a full week. If you are stressed you are not able to be productive. Taking a break and then returning to the project refreshed can bring about more successful results. If you take on more than you can comfortably handle you will begin to build up resentment. Resentment will diminish your productivity and your success.
Learn to Breath. You probably are thinking that everyone breaths. This is true but 95% of society practices shallow breathing. Shallow breathing is responsible for 98% of all disease and stress related illness. Post signs in your office, in your car and at home and remind your self to breath deeply.
Commit to Exercise. Determine an exercise routine that you enjoy and create time for this exercise in your life. In the beginning you won’t enjoy it but keep going. It takes 21 days to create a habit and then you will love the way you feel and the results.
Create a healthy eating program. Your eating is based on habits. Habits don’t always serve you. Decide to change your habits to support your health. Your health is your greatest asset. Once it is diminished it takes time to regain your health.
Decide to be happy. Happiness is a choice. A lot of times we have not been conditioned to be happy. It takes commitment, dedication, determination and an ability to embrace change in order to create a happy life.
Create a Plan and follow it. Create a plan for what you want in your life. Do one thing every day that supports your plan. Acknowledge your achievements’ and your accomplishments toward your plan.
Schedule Rewards with short breaks. Your breaks and time away need not be elaborate. They can be as small as scheduling in a long soak in your bath tub or a long weekend at a retreat center that you love. Schedule in short breaks and rewards often for your small and large accomplishments. Our Sedona retreats empower you to make healthy lifestyle choices.
