With Easter just around the corner. Here is a new ritual for Peace. Spend the day and Imagine our World in Peace. Everyone working together for the environment. Electric cars everywhere and affordable. Solar eclectric power available and affordable. Even google has promoted electric cars and solar electric. If we all come together and visualize our world in Peace
with everyone working together in co-operation and leaving competition and war behind. This is a wonderful vision and well worth the discipline to create it for our children and grandchildren.
What do you do on a daily basis to contribute to a better world? Peace begins inside. So if you spend you day in peace visualizing peace--you have taken the first step.
Are you attending the free webinar that Oprah is hosting with Eckhardt Tolle as he reads and discusses his new book A New Earth? What a wonderful opportunity for all of us to come together and share a higher vision for our environment.
What are you doing for Easter? I love Easter and have since being a child. I love waking up early and taking a hike and watching the Sun Rise. As you watch the sun come up and see it as the first new day of the rest of your life you can commit to your life and your happiness. I love to look at my life in spring and set an intention for what seeds I want to sow and nurture for harvest in the fall. It is a wonderful time to declutter my thoughts and habits and set an intention for the best year of my life. At the end of the day after I have spent my day in touch with my thoughts and feelings, as the sun sets, I release thoughts and patterns I am ready to leave permently in the past.
Easter for me is a time of reflection and a time to clean my innner sancturary. A time to declutter my inner and outer environment to make space for inner peace, joy, and happiness. Happy Spring and Happy Easter! What is your favorite ritual for Easter?
Breathing is a great way to improve your health without medication or even supplementation!
read more | digg story I am a yoga teacher and have taught pranayama for many years. Pranayama is conscious breathing. It has many benefits including relaxation, increased oxygen to your brain and organs and increased mental alertness. There are types of breathing that can balance the functioning of your brain and improve the overall health of all your cells. Can it become a habit? Yes it can but not without practice and a dedicated intention. I studied a technique called the Alexander method which is conscious use of your energy. It is the conscious choice of how you move your body. It was the most rewarding experience I have ever had and full of personal growth. And it was the hardest task I have ever undertaken. To be in the moment and consciously be aware of your breath or how you are moving your finger or your head, feet, sitting, walking is very self confrontational. Generally we like our addicted patterns of acting and reacting to life, and don't like change. We can "think" we would like to be different but creating that difference is a life challenge.
Do you like yoga? And what do you find supports you in creating a daily practice?
When you are feeling overwhelmed take a break and start doing one thing at a time. Whether at home or at work concentrate on one job at a time and complete each one. Learn to walk away from your desk and take a five minute break.
Time away whether for a five minute break or a full week will give you a new perspective. Sedona, Arizona was voted most beautiful place to visit in USA News, and for good reason. I have lived in Sedona for five years and the beauty continues to keep me breathless.
When is the last time you stopped to see a sunset? Yesterday when we drove home from work I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Red Rocks I have ever witnessed. Each day is a miracle as long as we hold that perspective. Do you feel the winds of March and March madness has you in it grips? Take a break and watch a beautiful sunset. Take a few deep breaths and hold gratitude in your heart for each blessing. You will find your heart feeling lighter.
What is the most beautiful sunset you have observed lately?
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here is a field of green four leaf clovers for your week!
Are you walking in a field of four leaf clover? It is all in our perspective. If we feel as though we walk in a field of clover we attract luck and miracles into our life. On the other hand if we feel that our world is void of luck we attract disaster.
When is the last time you had a miracle happen in your life? We had a miracle recently when we drove to California. We thought our wheels were out of alignment. We had a terrible vibration in the tires. When we took it in to Big O Tires we found that the tread on the tires were seperating. We drove through the Desert and the Bad Lands enjoying the beautiful wild flowers and were protected with a safe journey. We were especially grateful for that safe journey.
March has brought weather madness and deepens our concerns regarding global warming.
Follow these easy to apply steps to stay centered during March madness.
1. Take your emotions off auto pilot. Enroll in a yoga or meditation class. Learn to stay centered no matter what is going on around you.
2. Breathe deeply and learn to release your stress. Most people tighten up as a result of stress and breathe very shallowly. This becomes a endless cycle of deepening stress. Stress can make you sick and causes 90% of all illness.
3. Are you stressed over things that you cannot control? Remember the affirmation let go and let God. Decide to let go of the things you can't control and stay centered. Your breath can assist you to relax and let go.
Dread waking up in the morning and would rather stay in bed? Instead of reaching for pills to numb your emotions turn on some music you love and move your body.
Recent research has found that Prozac has little effect on its 40 million patients. This research found that Prozac and other seratonin inhibitors are no better than sugar pills. Music however did prove to be effective in releasing the symptoms of depression.
So rather than reaching for a pill to numb your emotional pain turn on some music and move your body. What is your favorite music to lift your mood, when you are feeling blue? I personally love drums.
