Quinoa Garden Tabbouleh Salad

I grew up on 150 acres in Tn. Summertime brings back lots of memories of the truck patches that we farmed, and all the fresh produce that we ate during summer. Tabbouleh is traditionally made with wheat but my new favorite version is Quinoa. Quinoa (pronounced keen wah) has all the amino acids and is a complete protein. It is very filling and gives you lots of energy. The plants on top are basil and purslane. Purslane is a weed that grows in my garden and is a vegetable source for omega fatty acids. So try my Tabbouleh Garden salad and let me know how you like it.

2 medium size fresh tomatoes
1 medium size cucumber
2-3 sprigs of fresh basil
2 sprigs of fresh mint
2-3 cups of cooked Quinoa(trio of red, white, and black are my fav)
2-3 tbsps organic apple cider vinegar or Balsamic (I switch back and forth)
1 tbsp celtic sea salt
2 large leaves of Chard cut fine
2 large leaves of Kale cut fine
1/4 cup purslane (my new favorite source of vit c, vit E and plant omega 3 and lots of minerals including magnesium)
2 tbsp organic olive oil
Handful of pine nuts

Mix this all together and add salt or vinegar to taste. Anyone care to guess what the flowers are? Enjoy and leave me a comment with your favorite garden recipe. Have you discovered Purslane yet? It may be growing wild in your garden or your yard. It is a natural plant source of vit C, vit E, and Omega 3. Let me know if you need seeds. It is very prolific.

Retreat to Renew Your Relationship and Reconnect to Your heart Connection

Retreat and Heal offers relationship retreats to recapture that love connection. Couples enter relationships with high hopes and positive expectations for their dream romance. Fighting and pulling away are never part of the dream. Yet, old patterns from the past surface and seem stronger than any dreams and take over. Most couples who come to Sedona for our retreats find themselves stuck in hurt and pain without tools to heal. Our retreats empower couples to reconnect to love.

Reconnect to love by creating a vision of what you want in your relationship and commit your heart to your vision. Each partner creates a vision of what is wanted in the relationship then co-create a vision from the two visions.

Compassionate communication empowers each partner to speak up and compassionately ask for what they want. Through speaking up each person learns to keep their compassion and commitment alive. Our retreat couples learn to stay current with their emotions and speak up and ask for what they want.

The next step is to keep your heart open and ask for what you want. Invest daily into your relationship account by keeping your heart open and holding your vision. EFT, hypnotherapy, energy medicine, shamanic healing, empower our couples, and each retreat is based on your needs. Invest in your relationship by scheduling a retreat and reconnect to love. Retreat and Reclaim Peace

Sedona retreats help you refocus and create more inner peace and spiritual connection. Many of our guests say that they feel stuck and disconnected spiritually. Your journey starts by feeling that deep longing inside for connection to God or Divine Source. Suffering from feelings of overwhelm? Can't sleep? The journey to balance begins with the desire and commitment to change bad habits that have created disconnection and overwhelm with healthy habits.

1. Start today with a smile. You might think that you don't have anything to smile about-but go ahead and try it for seven days. Think about things that you like to smile about. Research has shown that smiling can change your brain chemistry and begin creating the Law of Attraction; and you will begin to attract more to smile about.

2. Ways to release over-whelm? EFT also known as Emotional Freedom Technique is performed by tapping on energy meridians that traverse the body. The tapping acts to move and rid the body of uncompleted emotional energy that become major contributors to depression and overwhelm.

3. What symptoms can you use EFT to release? EFT has been used to release energy and symptoms associated with low back pain, headaches, and even more chronic dis-ease. It can be learned and applied for self treatment or you can receive a treatment from a practitioner. Both can be equally effective. EFT can also be applied to rid the mind of subconscious patterns and belief systems that create habits and addictions.

4. How often do you need to apply EFT to be effective? This will vary. Sometimes you will get immediate relief of symptoms. Other times you will remove one layer and then need to apply again within the same day or the next day and remove a deeper layer of emotions to go deeper to the core issue.

5. EFT has been used to quit smoking, release weight, stop sugar cravings and most cravings and urges, including serious addictions. It can be a key to unlock the hidden emotions that cause chronic depression and other nervous disorders including anxiety and panic attacks. It has been called the emotional energy cleanser and also the "miracle worker".

The most wonderful news is that you can learn this amazing self-help tool and apply it daily to release stress and bring your body back to health no matter what your symptoms.

Want to find out more information about EFT? My book Love's Secret Live Your Life In Love shares stories at the end of each chapter and includes EFT techniques to empower you to release your self-sabotaging habits. Retreat and Heal is offering a group EFT Retreat this fall to assist with releasing beliefs and habits that block the expression of health and happiness.

Our Sedona retreats include EFT, Reiki, and other powerful healing tools to get to the root of dis-ease. Let us design a retreat especially for you designed to fit your needs and budget. Take a look at our video retreat testimonial from David regarding his EFT Retreat.
